Bali- cooking and markets

feat

I’ve been going through my endless folders of travel photography and realised I haven’t shown you our Bali cooking experience. We loved attending a cooking class when we were in Thailand, in Chiang Mai, so I thought we should try that on Bali too. And it was a great idea. I researched Tripadvisor for opinions and decided to book our class with Lobong cooking school. First we were taken to a small local market, full with locals doing their business and no tourists at all. Loved that! Sang Made showed us around and explained everything from ingredients to history, tradition and culture of Balinese people. Then we were taken to the compound where his whole family lives, where we cooked and listened to stories as well as met some nice co-cooks from all over the globe. I absolutely loved the experience and highly recommend if you are ever in Ubud area. Best cooking class 🙂 I’m sure you would like to see some photos?
