Make up favourites 2015

feat_best_makeup_2015

I wonder if you’re gonna like favorites posts? I am literally addicted to watching favs and what’s in my bag clips on youtube. Yearly ones are my absolute go to in January so I thought I’d show you my list. I’ve been so much into skincare and make up this year that I have been reading and testing, reading and testing and then testing all year long. 😉 I bought a ton, sampled all the samples I was given, raided my friends/clients/make up artists make up bags. Everyone was really patient with me as they know how crazy I get when I am passionate about something. And these below are the products I have fallen in love with in 2015. I will say no bad words about them- these are the best ones I had my hands on this year!

So here we go:

Base I was into glowing skin mode this year, so these kind of bases were the ones I was searching for. I found a few good ones but the prize goes to Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer.

FoundationBobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation SPF 15. I have tried more than 20 foundations this year and this one is still the best match for me- never creases, stays on all day and feels like second skin and looks healthy. Never breaks me out. I wear Natural Tan in summer and Natural in winter.

Concealer this year I loved MAC Mineralize Concealer in NC15 and still loving YSL Touche Eclat Luminous Ivory/Beige for more highlighting job in the innercorner of the eye.

Cream contouring

Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate has been recommended to me by one of the best make up artist in my country. I had an amazing one on one workshop with her(another post to be published) and had an opportunity to try a lot of amazing products. This one seems to be my favourite of them all. I apply it with a brush and blend it with a beauty blender. Looks very natural. Seen on all of my phone selfies below. I use “intensity two”.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector I got a sample in my Goodie bag from Cult Beauty. It’s a highlighter in cream version- color opal. I just love the natural glow it gives!

Cream eye shadows these were my thing this year- quick wash of color over the lid. A bit of MAC “Ground work” and then Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow in Stick in Heather Steel. These let me do my eye make up with a finger and in less than a minute. Everyday staples now!

Highlighter I was a bit obsessed this year with highlighter. I tried more than twenty from different companies and my favourite one from the bunch is MAC Soft and Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish.

Bronzer Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow- the prettiest bronzer I had my hands on, no orange-y tones at all. It looks a bit ashy which is better for sculpting than any orange toned bronzers. Not a fan of the highlighter though, MAC beats it anytime.

Eye shadows Tom Ford Eye Color Quad- Cocoa Mirage- during my one on one workshop with Magda she said that if she was to choose one palette for everyday is this would be it. They are expensive, but you look sooo good wearing them. So if you’re about to invest in just one palette and feel good in chocolate browns and toffee- go for it!

Blush and powder I heard so many raves about Houglass products I just had to try them. They had this amazing palette released this year and I guess it’s one of the best buys of 2015. I love the powders and the blushes. The bronzer is a bit to sparkly for me, as I like the muted tones ones better. But the rest gives me such an amazing complexion- I look healthy and glowy!

Mascara: Baby doll by YSL has stole my heart. You need to get to know how to build it up but it is amazing.

Lips

I am a nude lip kind of girl. I’ve been afraid of any other colors on my lips but this year I got to experiment a little. I got my first red lip that I liked. Magda made it with Nouba Millebaci. The prettiest red I have ever seen. Then I got into it and tried a lot of reds in London. I loved Charlotte Tilbury’s So Marilyn. I was brave enough to go out with a red lip on. I needed almost 40 years to do that haha 🙂

But everyday I wear nudes all the time. I still love my old ones I wrote you about previously but this year’s winners are:
YSL Volupte Tint in Oil #4 Rose– this products is really interesting- it’s a cross between gloss/lip oil and tint. It gives a beautiful natural color to your lips and it stays on really long. The color gets deeper after a minute you apply it.

And this year award for best nude goes to YSL ROUGE PUR COUTURE Kiss & Love Collectors Lipstick in nr 70 which is Basic Nude.
