Ten years ago she arrived into our lives as a puppy, today is her 10th birthday and I guess we can officially call her grandma Java. I thought of going down the memory line for once to celebrate that day, would you like to see how her life was till today? I will only spare you countless amount of her couch/sleeping positions that occupy my phone. This life is well lived my friends- she’s got a loving family, she has run some serious kilometres, has swam some rivers and seas, dug a lot of sand and made some life long friends. She has her share of ruined toys, beds, clothes. She barely barks, not once got angry her whole life and loves good food, all food actually, but is especially crazy about some whipped milk from our coffee and good aged rib eye steak. Great taste, wouldn’t you say?
When she was six she was diagnosed with epilepsy and inability to digest triglicerides- it was a shock to our family but we get through that every day with her taking huge amount of pills every day. She is well, doesn’t have any attacks, so we live our lives just as before(only with bigger vet and pharmacy bills). We travel a lot and Java often goes with us- she swam in a lot of rivers in Poland, Slovenia and Italy and hiked some mountains. She is the perfect companion.
When I went through all the old photos today I got all teary looking at how great her friendship with Gaba and us is. Thanks J. for being such a great part of our family. Happy Birthday!
