Garden in June- part II

feat-ogrodwczerwcu-owoce

Today I am posting part two of my garden photos from June. This part is all about growing your own food- fruit and veg. June is the month of strawberries and wild strawberries. I started growing them few years ago, no bought ones are this sweet. I know we get fewer from one bush, as I don’t overfeed them or spray them with any chemicals. Sometimes snails are faster than me and get the ripest ones first, but who cares- we all live here in this little garden, we all deserve some yuminnes ๐Ÿ˜‰

Gaba wrote me a text from school camp commanding that I do not touch the red currants, which are oddly her fav fruit in the garden. Go figure!

Miss Java loves the berries too- she loves to be served some during our walks in the garden.

I am starting to believe I will be able to taste my fist organic apple from my own garden! Fingers crossed- this one is called Ananas Berลผenicki and is an old variety that used to be grown near Wilno, where all my grandparents lived before the second World War. I waited five years for it to bloom for the first time.
